CareShield Walkers help the Alzheimer’s Society’s raise £6.5m
The CareShield marketing team, ably assisted by Wrigley, the team mascot - undertook the Bedford Memory Walk on Saturday 3rd September.
One of numerous walks held around the UK, organised by the Alzheimer’s Society to mark World Alzheimer’s Month, it’s sobering to think that every three minutes someone is diagnosed with a form of dementia.
The CareShield Walkers had a whale of a time, helping to contribute to this massive effort to raise £6.5m for research into this cruel disease. Christian Greenshaw, CareShield’s CEO said “The team have achieved everything they set out to – they’ve raised both awareness and well-needed money for research into forms of dementia. So thank you to everyone who’ve sponsored our efforts: we really appreciate your support. This was team work in action at every level. “Arm in arm, step by step and pound by pound, we will get there””.
